Chatham Hill Winery Announces New Vice President

MORRISVILLE, N.C.
Marek Wojciechowski and Jill Winkler, proprietors of Chatham Hill Winery, have announced that Brian K. Norkeveck has joined the winery as vice president of sales and business development for Chatham Hill and Sweet Carolina brands in North Carolina and throughout the Southeast. Norkeveck brings over 25 years of experience in the global wine industry initially at the distributor level and then as New England Area Manager with Constellation Wines, a leading international wine supplier and marketer as well as the largest wine company in the world by volume. While at Constellation, Norkeveck managed a four state area, 25 wholesale wine distributors and 32 wine brands.

Record 30 participants at the Scandinavian Wine Fair and Competition
|

30 Scandinavian wine and spirits producers will participate in the BKWine Scandinavian Wine Fair in Paris on February 11. This is a record number at this unusual wine and spirits event. In connection with the Wine Fair there will also be the first ever Scandinavian Wine & Spirits competition where more that one hundred products are expected to compete for the medals. The Wine Fair will take place on Saturday February 11 at the Cercle Suédois (Swedish Club) in central Paris between 11.00 (11 AM) and 18.00 (6 PM). The Wine Fair is open to both professionals and the public. The Fair is organised by BKWine in collaboration with The Swedish Club in Paris and Restaurant Rivoli. BKWine Launches Wine Tours in English: two wine tours to France in spring 2006

BKWine launches a wine tour program for English speaking wine enthusiasts in spring 2006. Two trips are scheduled: one, called “3 Classic Regions” that goes to Champagne, Chablis and Burgundy on May 17-21, and one that goes to Bordeaux on June 8-11, 2006.

Yadkin Valley Wine Festival

ELKIN ? The wine will be flowing again in the Yadkin Valley in May.
The fifth annual Yadkin Valley Wine Festival, sponsored by the Yadkin Valley Chamber of Commerce, is scheduled for Saturday, May 20,2006 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., at Elkin Municipal Park, and promises to be bigger and better than last year?s inaugural event.
The festival expects to feature at least 15 wineries and vineyards pouring the Yadkin Valley's best, as well as displays from other vineyards with vines still too new to produce wines.
